Our vision for Manor Farm

Our vision is to create a well-connected and high-quality extension to Buckingham, providing new homes and complementary uses set within landscaped open spaces. The planning application will offer new homes to help to meet the local housing need, a new nursery and pre-school that will benefit the growing number of young families in the area, as well as a range of benefits for new and existing residents.

The site

Site location and masterplan

The site is located east of Buckingham in Bourton. The site is bordered by the A413 and Badgers estate to the west, the A421 and farmland to the south, and a solar farm to the east.

Suitably situated in a sustainable location on the edge of Buckingham, the site benefits from a range of amenities within walking distance, including several schools, two leisure centres, as well as a range of supermarkets and other retail outlets on London Road.

The proposals offers an exciting, sustainable development with a nursery and pre-school, including affordable home

  • Up to 220 new homes for local people, which will include policy compliant affordable housing provisions of at least 25%.
  • New walking and cycling routes and crossings to improve access to local amenities such as the Larder CafĂ©, schools, the new nursery/community building and the wider area.
  • At least 10% net gain biodiversity targets and secure long term management.
  • 16 hectares of publicly accessible open green space, play and wildlife areas, with improved access to the Ouse Valley Way.
  • Proposed new nursery and preschool on site, with additional contributions to support existing schools in the area.
  • Planning for climate change with energy efficient homes and sustainable drainage measures designed in from the outset.
